Lux Aurumque - Appalachian Brass Orchestra
A choral piece set for brass by Eric Whitacre. I took my parents to see the Gold Coast Wind Ensemble (a semi-pro group I subbed for one season before going to Cal Poly) for their anniversary. This was the high-point of the concert. At Poly, I played "Sleep" by the same composer with the Wind Ensemble and sang it with Polyphonics. Both are amazing, harmonic chorales.
