Moosh

Moosh is a graphical shell client with grand aspirations.

The current version of the Moosh client installs as a Firefox extension. The extension adds support for the sh: protocol, and a Shell item to the Tools menu. The moosh sh: protocol, as yet, is unspecified, but you can check out our current progress by logging into our demo service, sh://cixar.com:2380.

To install moosh, you will need Firefox 1.0.5 or better. Once the installation is complete, you will also need to close all of your Firefox browser windows and open a new one.

Click Install in Firefox to add the extension to your profile. Firefox may raise a yellow bar if cixar.com is not on your list of allowed installer sites. You will need to add it, and click on the installer again. Once the installation is complete, close all of your browser windows and open a new one. To try out the Moosh client, try our demo shell service.

Firefox 1.5 Prototype

Firefox 1.5 is comming out soon, and we have a prototype FF 1.5 Package to insall Moosh in that browser version, but the extension or the browser has a bug. A report has been filed and we're looking for a workaround.
