Alassë Limpessë
An Elvish Drinking Song,
Program NotesThe tune is in simple triple meter because I based it on what was my perception of medieval music at the time; also the quiet choir-intended part of the song is something I made up on the spot, so a bit strange perhaps. Note also that my pronunciation on this recording is pretty bad and you can clearly hear I am Dutch on this one. Most notably, I botch up the stress in _alASsë_ and change it into _Alasë_. I intend to throw the tune out eventually and replace it with a better one. I'm looking for a lutist, because guitar is not really the thing for such songs. You can find me on the conlang mailing list. - Edin Najetovic Lyrics
